Presented for the first time at the XV Florence Biennale 2025, this sculpture is inspired by John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”and embodies hope through fragility. The woman she sculpts stretches heavenward, vulnerable yet steadfast, her form radiating humble devotion. The work becomes both a prayer and a testament -light as comfort, resilience, and faith. Through “Luz”Bruce reveals the soul’s quiet strength, offering beauty that speaks to endurance in the face of darkness.
